President's Message

Saturday, February 04, 2023 2:45 PM | *Information (Administrator)

Warmest New Year’s greetings on behalf of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of HPNA!

As I begin my term as Chapter President, I have great hope for the future, and for the continued role that hospice and palliative nurses play in all aspects of healthcare. Your service and support to patients with serious illness and their families is awe-inspiring, and it is my honor to lead this amazing chapter in the year ahead.

The SFBA Leadership Team is mapping out the next steps for 2023. We look forward to providing ways for Chapter members to engage, collaborate, and learn together in the coming year. Stay tuned for a poll and opportunities to offer your feedback on priorities. There will also be chances to stretch your wings and use your gifts to expand the impact of the SFBA Chapter!

The new year is a time to honor the past and trust the magic of new beginnings. I am so grateful to our leadership team and founding chapter members who have prepared a solid foundation for the future of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. Renita Vinluan-Fan (Secretary) and Dihuyen Ho (Treasurer) join me in honoring our team members who continue to serve in many ways: Colleen Baker, Kiran Dhesi, Christine Stewart, Kelly Kuhl-Merz, Kim Carroll, and Debi Davin.

We wish you great hope in the year ahead.

Here’s to the future!

Rebecca V. Hoden, DNP, RN, CHPN, President (2023)

Renita Vinluan-Fan, GNP-BC, ACHPN, Secretary (2023)

DiHuyen Ho, BSN, RN, CHPN, Treasurer (2023)
